CHANGE OF ADDRESS If the address or postcode on your Policy is incorrect it is essential that you telephone 952893380 or email us admin@abbeygateinsure.com.


ANY OTHER CHANGES Any changes that may affect your Insurance must be notified immediately in the event that this is not carried out your Insurance may become Null and Void.




BY INTERNET -- Payment may be made by secure electronic transaction in either GBP or Euros. Once you have been given the address of the proposal to be completed then on submission you will be taken to the payments page. Payment must be made prior to the inception of cover.


BY POST Please make cheques payable to Abbeygate remembering to write the Policy Holders full name and address on the reverse, Please do not send cash or post dated cheques. Payment must be received prior to the inception of cover.


                BY TELEPHONE Please telephone 956796919 with full Credit/Debit Card details, no receipt will be sent unless requested.




                ONE PAYMENT To pay the full premium including administration charges and any add on products (e.g. Legal Protection and Breakdown Recovery). This will be the amount we quoted you.


CANCELLATION/REFUND All cancellation requests must be made in writing and all Policy Documents returned before cancellation can take affect. All refunds will be calculated by Underwriters upon receipt of the returned documents. Refunds will be issued by either Cheque or Card once the refund has been received by us from the insurers. All refunds are subject to our Service Charge of 30.00 Euros and will be issued net of commissions.


DOCUMENTATION - We may keep certain documents such as your insurance policy or certificate while we are awaiting your full payment of premium (or evidence of no claim discount unless, the gross premium is paid).


Your Duty to Give Information - It is your responsibility to provide complete and accurate information to insurers when you take out your insurance policy, throughout the life of your policy, and when you renew your insurance.

It is important that all statements you make on proposal forms, claims forms and other documents are full and accurate.

Please note that if you fail to disclose any material information to your insurers, this could invalidate your insurance cover and could mean that part or all of a claim not be paid.


Motor Insurance Database - Your policy details will be added to the Motor Insurance Database (MID), run by the Motor Insurers Information Centre (MIIC). This may be consulted by the Police in order to establish who is insured to drive the vehicle. If you are involved in an accident (in the UK or abroad), other UK insurers, the Motor Insurers' Bureau and MIIC may search the MID to ascertain relevant policy information. Persons with a valid claim in respect of a road traffic accident (including citizens of other countries) may also obtain relevant information which is held on the MID.
